Riding a Bicycle in the Morning
There are many thoughts that intentionally or accidentally come to us when we are riding a bicycle and are just looking at people around us going about with their daily activities for the day. If we are not glued to our headphones or not worrying about something specific then we may get a deep internalised dive into our thought process about literally any random thing, here is one such discussion between 2 states of mind of a person :-
Positive Mindset: There is something unique about today's morning.
Negative Mindset: What's unique? It's like every other morning every year that ever existed.
PM: There is something very soothing about this day.
NM: Ya. Like you said about last night and the night before that and all the nights before that.
PM: This is how I am. I see good in everything around me. Be it people, be it life, be it nature, be it weather, be it bad fortune, be it the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone. There is a serendipity in whatever we go through.
NM: What serendipity? There is nothing special to anything that happens to anyone. What you said is true for less than 1% of the people who are privileged enough to look at life the way you just did, otherwise the world is a mess of its own.
PM: You are right in your own way. But not everyone wants what the “1% of the people who are privileged” want. Maybe some but not all. Everyone is unique. Everyone sees the world differently. Some have less but still want to give, some have more, but want to keep it intact with themselves. It all boils down to where you are from, what you have been through, what is your moral code of conduct that you follow without thinking twice. It's not as easy as I am making it sound; rather it requires a blend of practice, experience, discipline and control and that takes its own time and asks for patience from your side. And now coming to the world being a mess. It is a mess. Its been this way since the first trace of human existence was found. We started somewhere. Without anything. Without any idea of where we may end up, how long we may survive. But we did. In whatever way we did. Now we are here. Sure, there have been riots, wars, natural calamities and what not. But all these will not stop. They are not in the control of one individual or a group. We have to deal with life as it is and grow from where we are in the social hierarchy to the best of our abilities. And take every single day as the greatest gift bestowed upon us. Again, that is not easy and needs the same 4-5 parameters I mentioned before but it is possible.
NM: Hang on. I just said that there is nothing special about this morning and the world is a mess. But you took it way too seriously and have given answers to the questions that were unasked for and at the same time being out of context.
PM: That's what I do. I try to overpower you in every way possible so that you may not overpower me and in turn have adverse effects on the body and the soul we are residing in.
NM: I see. You are the savior type.
PM: No. This is what I have to do, otherwise the world will end up being a mess full of negative people and negative emotions and ultimately human race will be doomed. Earlier than we thought it would.
NM: Making the point of being positive by being negative. I like what you did there.
